Tonight RLadies Pasadena is Diving into R Under The Hood | Meetup https://t.co/yU8WSDIq3a @caltechlibrary #rstats

I learned how to make a personalized Rprofile at tonight’s RLadies pasadena meet up, and most importantly, learned how to add cowsay into the Rprofile.

### A few steps can help achieve this:

• use getwd() to find out where the project’s work directory is. (As Gail said, never use setwd(), and always create a project in R when starting a new project)
• use file.edit("~/.Rprofile") to open the Rprofile. (If the Rprofle does not exist in the work directory, it will be created automatically by this command)
• then add the following codes into the profile:

message("WELCOME TO R, MY MASTER!")
options(prompt = "YES, MY MASTER!")
.First = function(){
cowsay::say("why did the chicken cross the road", "chicken")
}
